În data de 28 mai 2026, de la ora 14:00, doamna Eillen Weisenbach, de la Kentucky University, va susține o prezentare în cadrul ediției de primăvară a Cluj Economics and Business Seminar Series (CEBSS).

Titlul prezentării: The Value Proposition Project: Measuring Student Reflection on Learning, Advancing Experiential Marketing Education

Abstract:This study introduces the Value Proposition Project, a scalable self-reflection method designed to assess and enhance experiential learning (EL) outcomes across marketing courses of varying intensity. Drawing on Kolb’s experiential learning cycle and recent calls for profession/academic, career-relevant instruction, the project prompts students to articulate what they gain in a class, how they plan to apply the gains, and how course design shaped their engagement. Using AI-assisted qualitative analysis of open-ended student reflections from three marketing courses (low, moderate, and high EL), we evaluated self-reflection quality, EL attributes, and career readiness competencies. Results show a clear relationship between EL intensity and students’ metacognitive depth, emotional intelligence, and professional clarity. The method surfaces hidden EL gains even in non-client-based contexts and provides actionable insights for faculty and program leaders. Findings highlight the value of structured reflection as both a developmental tool for students and a formative assessment strategy for institutions.
