CIMA Event: University Management Accounting Day CEE 2021

On 26 October 2021 students from 18 universities from countries of Central and Eastern Europe will have a unique opportunity to meet virtually during the University Management Accounting Day (UMAD). The event is organised by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), in collaboration with the most prestigious universities of economics in the region.

The University Management Accounting Day CEE is organised every year together with CIMA partner universities and is addressed to undergraduate and postgraduate students of finance and accounting. UMAD brings together students, lecturers, best CIMA's employers and employees in Poland and abroad. The event will be held online. World class CIMA experts guarantee top quality content that is not only up-to-date, but also relevant from a global perspective.

This year’s edition will begin with a panel discussion: Readiness of students to be employed – what are employers looking for in graduates? with the participation of CIMA experts representing leading employers from various sectors:

This will be followed by CIMA Business Game, an interactive online competition between students from all participating universities. Students will work in teams on a business case study to find solutions for given problems. Last year over 200 students participated in UMAD which was also held online.

Students will also have a chance to meet virtually with their colleagues from leading economic universities from almost all of the Central and Eastern Europe, as well as to reach out to CIMA Ambassadors who are often the first point of contact in their dealings with CIMA.
