The Academy of Marketing Science granted, during its 48th annual conference held in New Orleans, between 17-19 May 2023, the William R. Darden Best Research Methodology Paper Award to a group of three researchers, including two from the UBB-FSEGA academic community, for the paper:

Quantifying Model Selection Uncertainty via Bootstrapping and Akaike Weights: A Multimodel Inference Approach

The paper depicts a novel method for assessing the uncertainty associated with choosing a winner model over other possible models that may explain a phenomenon, with applicability in the social sciences, particularly in marketing studies. Marko Sarstedt, professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Adjunct Research Professor at UBB-FSEGA and Doctor Honoris Causa of UBB, is granted his third William R. Darden award by the Academy of Marketing Science, but his first since joining the UBB-FSEGA academic community.
