Accounting education is the subject to an impetuous need for development, additionally marked by the uncertainty of the economic environment. In a world of financial scandals, corruption and bankruptcy, attention is directed with a reprehensible look to accounting education as well.
In order to keep up with the current challenges of global economy, accountants need a complex education that must combine intellectual abilities with training for a professional identity.
This workshop seeks to examine current influences on the effectiveness of accounting education. We are interested in research papers, case studies or research projects presentations, which address teaching, learning and the curriculum area for those who major in accounting.
This workshop will be of interest to researchers active in this area, academics, policy-makers, managers and practitioners in accounting area.
The objective of the workshop "Accounting education - sharing knowledge in an ever changing world" is to present and discuss research papers and projects exploring contemporary challenges in accounting education, in a stimulating academic environment. Paper proposals by practitioners are also welcome.
