CALL FOR PAPERS

The first edition of the PhD students workshop organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration on the field of research methodology used in economic studies offers PhD students the opportunity to present and also discuss theirs PhD projects or articles and receive pertinent feedback. Furthermore the participants are encouraged to exchange opinions regarding their research fields with academic professors or fellow PhD students in order to extend their views and improve their results. The workshop combines lectures, debates and PhD student’s presentations. The doctoral workshop is free of any costs for all the PhD students that intend to participate.

The doctoral workshop is designed in order to benefit both PhD students and also academics.

The main objectives of the workshop are to:

  • Develop advanced research skills required for the elaboration of the PhD thesis including conducting literature review, choosing the appropriate methods and techniques for the study, establishing the main research questions, correct collection, analyze and interpretation of the data and presentation of the research results.
  • Provide advanced knowledge in different methods and techniques used in the research field by foreign universities.
  • Provide different writing strategies and research reports examples.
Main themes and topics

All submitted paper should concentrate their research within the following main fields:

  • Cybernetics and Statistics: Econometrics, E-Technology, E-Services, E-Government, Information and Data Management, Network Security, Social Networks;
  • Economics and International Business: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, International Economics, Economic development and growth theories;
  • Finance and Accounting: Stock markets, Financial econometrics, Corporate finance, Banking, Financial Accounting and Reporting, International Accounting, Auditing and Internal Control, Managerial Accounting;
  • Management and Marketing: Marketing management, Human Resources management, Strategic management, Entrepreneurship management, Project and Operation management, Marketing strategies, Marketing dynamics.
