The Finance and Banking program is designed for young students aspiring to understand the complexity of the financial world and to pursue a profession in investments, banking, or business finance. Our specialization offers the perfect mix of theory and practical skills to prepare you for various career paths such as financial analyst, banker, risk manager, portfolio manager, business analyst, investment banking analyst, quantitative analyst etc.

The curriculum is continuously updated to encompass advances in informational technology, regulatory changes, and the latest insights in financial markets. You will learn from professors with deep expertise in finance, most of them being also engaged in research and innovation. They are extremely passionate about teaching and sharing research findings, as well as supportive in guiding students in exploring professional outlooks through internships and partnerships with practitioners.

We are proud to mention notable achievements of our students, such as winning significant competitions and outclassing teams from prestigious international universities. Our students won four of the annual national phases of the CFA Research Challenge competition held in Romania (2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022), becoming the first Romanian team to win the Eastern Europe regional CFA competition in 2021.

Being a student in Finance and Banking offers you the opportunity to enhance your knowledge and to gain experience in investing by joining FSEGA Investment Club. You will have the opportunity to interact with investment professionals and become familiar with the Bloomberg and Refinitiv platforms, considered benchmarks in global financial and portfolio management. The Bloomberg Laboratory provides access to real-time financial data, news, and market insights from around the world. This experience allows our students to work with similar tools and information used by finance professionals, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Moreover, you have free access to Bloomberg Certifications (Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals, Bloomberg Market Concepts, and Bloomberg ESG Course), much appreciated in the job market.
