The program prepares students to become professional accountants.

It covers theoretical and conceptual accounting issues and provides students with the necessary accounting skills to make them employable in a variety of settings. For example, students will be able to understand economic transactions and keep companies’ financial records, using the IT resources specific to the field. They will acquire essential data processing skills to produce annual financial statements and/or tax reports, and the ability to calculate and interpret economic-financial indicators. Students will also be prepared to carry out activities specific to the control of financial accounts and to carry out financial audits.

In addition to the professional skills and abilities, the program also develops transversal competencies. For example, students will be able to identify and assume roles and responsibilities in a team and use effective communication and collaboration techniques.

Moreover, the program provides students with the opportunity to pursue national and international professional certifications as follows:

Moreover, the program provides the starting point for students’ accession to professional bodies in the area such as those representing accountants, auditors and assessors.
  • the completion of the program provides the starting point for students to join national professional associations in the field, such as those representing accountants (Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania - CECCAR), auditors (Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania - CAFR), assessors (National Association of Authorized Evaluators of Romania - ANEVAR), or tax consultants (Chamber of Tax Consultants - CCF).
  • graduates have the opportunity to obtain two international certifications: the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certification for professionals in accounting and finance, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification.
