About the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA)

Considering its position in the most important university worldwide rankings by subject, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA) of the BabeČ™-Bolyai University (UBB) in Cluj-Napoca (Transylvania, Romania) is the best Romanian higher education institution in Business & Economics.

FSEGA has been an integral part of UBB since 1961, with its origins tracing back to 1878, when higher economic education was established in Cluj, initially in Hungarian, and since 1920, in Romanian as well, under the auspices of the Commercial Academy of Cluj.

Today FSEGA is the largest faculty of UBB and of any Romanian university, about 8,600 students being enrolled in its Bachelor, Master or PhD programs in the 2023-2024 academic year.

FSEGA is a full member of European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the largest global networks of organizations in the field of management development and business administration.
