The healthcare industry in Romania and the EU shows an increasing need for specialists with advanced knowledge on the economics of the healthcare system both in terms of developing appropriate healthcare policies and in terms of managing organizations in the healthcare industry.

Therefore, the main objective of the master program in Health Economics is to provide the necessary economic principles and tools to decision-makers who will shape the future of the public and private organizations that operate in this sector.

To pursue this objective, the core courses of the program offer fundamental microeconomics-, macroeconomics-, and business-related knowledge that can be applied in the healthcare sector, as well as the necessary data analytics, statistical and econometric tools that can be used to offer solid quantitative support to decision making in the industry.

Through two distinct elective tracks, students can acquire specialized knowledge in either healthcare policy-making or organizing healthcare units.
