ECOTOPIA workshop for students: The challenges of sustainable development, circular economy and corporate activities

ECOTOPIA students, as well as other interested students, are invited to participate at an online workshop titled The challenges of sustainable development, circular economy and corporate activities, held between 8th-12th April.

The workshop deals with multiple aspects of sustainability and sustainable development within the economy with the focus on issues, relevant for corporations. The workshop begins with challenges of development, covering key concepts such as the linear approach to development, circular economy and regenerative economy. The participants will also analyze sustainability performance, including methods for measuring corporate carbon footprints and utilizing ESG data both qualitatively and quantitatively. The focus then turns to implications of these models along with sustainable enterprise practices. The participants will explore sustainable finance, examining market and regulatory aspects, as well as the impact of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data on corporate activities. Through Harvard business simulations, students will be able to try out how to run a sustainable businesses, facilitating a deeper understanding of the ESG real-world impact and implications.
